Right now, I'm writing from the FIRSTConnects.Us booth at the New York Regional. Since Friday, we've been showing off the site and getting more people registered... there is a giant stack of new sign-ups next to me, and we're still getting a steady stream of people coming by.
The regional is pretty exciting, even though I haven't seen that many matches yet. In fact, I've had to stream all of our matches online because there is a giant blue cubicle-wall between our booth and the field. It's sort of ironic watching events that are happening just feet away from me on a little laptop screen, but from what I've heard, our pit crew is doing the same thing.
Later today, we're going to be having a raffle for new sign-ups... I've heard there are a few shirts, soccer balls, and maybe even a trip to the Bahamas. Probably not, but one can hope...
